Green Country Home and Garden Show wrapping up Sunday at Expo Square | News

TULSA, Okla. — Sunday is the final day of the 21st Annual Green Country Home and Garden Show.

The event takes place at the Exchange Center at Expo Square, near 21st and Yale and brings various vendors and experts for home, garden and lifestyle products and services all under one roof.

Livvy Kaczmarek, an organizer at the event, said, having multiple vendors under one proof gives people choice and convenience.

“If you’re looking to install a pool, or a hot tub or a roof, or something like that, this is a great opportunity to come and talk to five or six different companies at the same time and just get bids all at once instead of working the phones forever,” she said.

Even if you don’t have a home, there’s a bit of something for everyone.

“There’s lots of vacation packages and Nothing Bundt Cakes and just lots of things for everybody so it’s just a really fun way to get out and just see what’s going on and what the latest trends are in home improvement lately,” Kaczmarek said.

The event also has a $21,000 prize vault, where people 18 and older can try to win $18,000.

Kaczmarek said the event is a great opportunity for local businesses to get in front of potential clients.

Jason Trent is with Rickert Landscape and Tree Service, which has been sponsoring the event for years.

Trent said the event is like a kick-off to the year and when people start thinking about springtime.

“It just helps kick everything off for the beginning of the year, people have trees, people have just gone through that Father’s Day storm, now they’re starting to think of ‘Wow I’ve got broken and dead limbs that need to be removed,’ or ‘Do I even want this tree here anymore? Because it’s now a liability.’ And so people come out, they try to look for a company like us and we want to be right in front when we get here,” Trent said.

Kaczmarek said normally around 16,000 to 17,000 people attend the event and they’re expecting to surpass it this year.

The event will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Parking and admission are free.

FOX23’s radio partner KRMG is hosting the Annual Green Country Home and Garden Show. FOX23 is a co-sponsor of the event.
